Colour can seem intimidating and difficult, but can be quite the opposite once you know the principles behind colour theory and have the knowledge to use it to your advantage.
This two day workshop provides an intensive immersion into understanding colour and explains how mix any colour you need using a split primary palette.
What will you learn?
The workshop is suitable for acrylic, oil or watercolour painters at all levels of experience. Oils will be used in the class for demonstration, but participants may use the medium of their choice.
Space is limited to 5 students with one on one guidance and advice from a professional artist in a studio environment.
A workshop supplement guide on colour theory will be provided to participants.

- The colour biases of paints using a split primary palette of colours
- How to create a colour wheel in any medium
- How to determine the value of colour
- How to create a colour chart
- How to use complementary colours
- How to mix neutrals - greys and browns, and avoid muddy colours
- How to mix chromatic darks
- How to mix any colour you need
